Leaders
Effective leaders implement change standing next to their people, not on the backs of their people. You wouldn't eat a steak while your wife and children starved to show them that you needed to save money. Don't screw your personnel, to prove a point, to implement change.
1. Explain the current status
2. Establish the end goal
3. Design an achievable process to accomplish the end goal.
4. Explain, gather input, and make necessary changes
5. Go forward and conquer the world
In order to gain buy-in your personnel need to understand the goal, and their part in the process. That has to be clearly explained. People doing what they are told is not an effective measurement of buy-in. People doing what they are told fixes the short term; buy-in ensures that change becomes a long term solution.
See you at the work.
