Play the Game
Life isn't a spectator sport.
You have to play the game.
But how well do you know yourself?
Are you fast, smart, or agile?
Better yet, what have you done to understand why you do what you do?
What is your reaction when you get mad?
Do you show it?
How do you calm down?
What makes you feel better?
When someone messes up how do you take the news?
Are you approachable?
Can you handle it?
Or do you react with emotion?
Can you control your emotions?
Have you answered anything?
Try this.
Put your phone in another room with an alarm set for 10 minutes.
Find a comfortable chair.
Put your feet flat on the ground.
Place your hands on your thighs.
Close your eyes.
And breathe.
Just breathe.
Focus on that.
When the alarm goes off answer the questions. Are they the answers you want?
Do this every now and then for longer and longer.
You will find the answers in the depths of your mind. There is a massive benefit in mindfulness and meditation.
