A little tidbit for the young guys..
We've been company officers for over a decade. Promoted pretty young and with a believed good grasp of the job.
Something we've discovered the past few years is we get more excited not in teaching firemen something, but seeing a firefighter teach something we taught them.
Who cares who's smarter, stronger, and better if they don't coach, counsel, and assist everyone else?
We are here for the crew and the crew is here for the victim.
WHATEVER the call...fire, EMS, or bullshit; SOMEONE CALLED US!
Your days at work are for them. Not for you.
You have days off.
Make sure what the public is investing their money in is worth it.
Work, train, learn.
Every damn day.
