We do these things...
As my wife filled a cart in Hobby Lobby I came across this quote by President John F. Kennedy and knew I had to have it.
"We do these things not because they are easy but because they are hard."
There will be moments when you won't feel it.
Excuses are plentiful.
"I'm too tired."
"I'm not feeling it."
"It's too hot."
As you slowly start to maneuver through the mountain of excuses that little asshole in your head is spreading you'll end up at the best one of all...
"They didn't workout today, why should I?"
If you believe that snowball it'll become an avalanche before you know it.
You can't compare yourself to other people.
Only you can be you. Only you can be the best you.
Plus you know you enjoy their responses...
"You did HOW many rounds!?!"
"How far did you row!?!"
"You had your gear on in this heat!?!"
Smile and keep working.
I'm not advocating against days of rest, reflection, and even mediation. Plan these into your workouts and work your plan.
Quit tomorrow, there's too much to be done today.
Always forward, always moving.
